SUNDAYS

Check-In Policy:

Children’s Ministry Check-In is open from 9:45 to 10:15am and is on a first-come, first-served basis.

You will find our check-in area at the stairs in the church lobby. Each child receives a nametag with their classroom, any allergies and family ID number on it. Parents receive a tag with the family ID number on it as well. If needed during the service, the phone number on file will be sent a text message stating which child is needing assistance. At this time, a parent needs to return to their child’s classroom. For safety purposes, parents must present their portion of the tag with the family ID number on it when picking up their child. Children will NOT be released to any adult without a matching family ID number. If you are a first-time guest at The Rock, there is a team of people that are present on Sunday to assist with the check-in process. To insure a smooth first-time guest check-in experience, you may also preregister your family HERE.

Worship:

We invite all our Rock families to bring their children into worship and take them to their classrooms afterward. For the kids who want to engage during worship, we have coloring pages and flags available at the front of the auditorium.

We know that this might be an adjustment for families whose children aren’t used to being in the main service during worship, and some younger ones might not be quite ready yet. If that’s the case, our volunteers are ready to care for them in their classrooms. However, we kindly ask that families give it a try for a service or two to help the kids experience worship before making that decision.

Sick Policy:

If your child is sick or not feeling well, we ask that you refrain from bringing him/her to The Rock’s Children’s Ministry. Out of consideration to our kids, families, and volunteers, our guidelines require that children who are ill will not be allowed into the nursery or classrooms. This includes any children experiencing one or more of the following symptoms:

  • Fever over 99.8

  • Vomiting

  • Diarrhea

  • Skin rashes or eruptions

  • Coughing associated with a respiratory infection

  • Runny nose which has a yellow or green discharge

  • Pinkeye, which is often accompanied by a yellow/green discharge or thick drainage from the eye

  • Parasites such as nits, lice, mites, or ringworm

  • Drainage, in any form, from the ear

The same policy is enforced with our volunteers. For more information, email our team at kcetina@therockofroseville.com.

OUR VALUES

Fun Over Fear:

Our top priority is making sure every child feels comfortable and excited to be in class! We kick things off with fun activities to help ease them into the environment. If a child is having a tough time adjusting, we’ll always reach out to parents to find the best way to support them.

Presence Over Program:

Our goal is to create space for the Holy Spirit in every classroom. While we have a general schedule, we’re open to where the Spirit leads us and allow flexibility to let God move in the moment.

Connection Over Curriculum:

We have engaging lessons planned, but we know that kids can be unpredictable! Our heart is to connect with each child personally—even if that means shifting away from the lesson to meet them where they are.

Child Dedications:

We love our children and desire for them to grow up supported in church family! Child Dedications are a public sign that parents are seeking to raise their children in the ways of Jesus, set them apart, and present them to God.

JOIN THE TEAM

Volunteer Policy:

To volunteer with The Rock Children’s Ministry you must fill out the Volunteer at The Rock Form.

We run a background check on every volunteer. NO applicant is ever permitted to volunteer in The Rock Children’s Ministry if they’ve been arrested for child abuse. Every new volunteer will be supervised on a regular basis. The Never Alone Policy is strictly enforced. Adults are never alone with children. Every teacher and helper is required to wear a Children’s Ministry Volunteer name tag, verifying they have been screened for work in The Rock Children’s Ministry. Because our children are so important to us, we go to GREAT LENGTHS to ensure your child’s SAFETY and CARE. To join our team fill out our Volunteer at The Rock form HERE.
